Christy D Jones and Kari L Sutherland Named in Benchmark Litigation’s Top 250 Women in Litigation

This year marks the sixth edition of Benchmark Litigation’s Top 250 Women in Litigation, the definitive guide to the country’s leading female litigators. Jones focuses her practice on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation, as well as professional liability litigation. She has more than 30 years of trial experience, serving as national trial counsel to some of the largest pharmaceutical and consumer product corporations in the world. In many of these instances, she served as lead counsel in bellwether trials.

Jones received both her undergraduate degree and her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas.

Sutherland focuses her practice on drug and device litigation and appellate and written advocacy. She has been recognized in Mid-South Super Lawyers® for personal injury defense: products, was previously named a Future Star by Benchmark Litigation, and is the recipient of a 2017 Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing.  Sutherland is a member of the Mississippi, Tennessee and 5th Circuit Bar Associations, Defense Research Institute, Federalist Society, Fellowship of the Litigation Counsel of America, Lafayette County Bar Association, Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, and Trial Attorneys of America.  She is also a former special agent for the U.S. Secret Service.

Sutherland received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law.
