“We are excited to welcome Lea Ann to the Butler Snow team,” said Donald Clark, Jr., chairman of Butler Snow. “She is a great addition, offering strong expertise and commitment to client service that will strengthen our product liability group.”
Smith focuses her practice on benzene, chemical and mold exposure issues, commercial litigation, drugs and medical devices, environmental litigation, hearing loss, insurance, personal injury, silica and product liability matters. Smith has been recognized as a Mid-South Super Lawyer Rising Star. She received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Kentucky University and her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law. Smith is admitted to practice in Kentucky, Mississippi and Louisiana.
With product liability litigation on the rise, along with the risk to manufacturers, distributors and retailers of significant monetary exposure, it is critical for companies to secure representation of attorneys experienced in defending large, complex suits involving serious personal injuries. Butler Snow has a long history of strongly defending product liability claims on a regional and national basis. The firm’s product liability group is expert in handling single plaintiff or complex, multidistrict class-action claims and mass tort litigation.
