Experienced Environmental Attorney John A. Brunini Joins Butler Snow

Butler Snow is pleased to announce John A. Brunini has joined the firm’s Ridgeland, Miss. office.

“Johnny is a respected environmental attorney who is well known across Mississippi, the Southeast and throughout the nation,” said Donald Clark, Jr., chairman of Butler Snow. “His addition will certainly strengthen our environmental team and add value to the services we offer clients.”

Brunini is a member of the firm’s Government and Regulatory Group. His practice focuses on air and water permitting and compliance issues, surface coal mining permitting and compliance issues, wetlands permitting, state and federal property development issues, solid waste planning, permitting and compliance issues, emergency response matters, and large-scale product development. Brunini represents a broad range of national and local clients in environmental matters and has extensive knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulatory agencies. He has also developed experience in municipal law and serves as general counsel to the Madison County Wastewater Authority.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Millsaps College and earned his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. Brunini has been named to the Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in Environmental Law, the Mid-South Rising Stars for Energy and Natural Resources and the Best Lawyers in America for Environmental Law.

Brunini is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association where he served as the chair of section on natural resources, energy and environmental law from 2012-2013. He is also a member of the Capital Area Bar Association, Jackson Young Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the Mississippi Wildlife Federation.
