Ashley Wicks Named President of Magnolia Bar Association

Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC (Butler Snow) Attorney Ashley N. Wicks has been elected president of the Magnolia Bar Association.

“We are pleased that Ashley has been elected to this important position within the Magnolia Bar Association,” said Donald Clark, Jr., Chairman, Butler Snow. “She will provide great leadership, and serve the association and profession well.”

Wicks is a member of the firm’s Business Services Group and focuses her practice on public finance, state and local taxation, and estates. She earned both her bachelor’s in Business Administration and Masters of Public Administration at Jackson State University before going on to complete her Juris Doctorate at Tulane University and her Masters in Taxation at the University of Alabama. She has been named a Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Star for business/corporate tax and has also served as a business law fellow with the American Bar Association.

In addition to the Magnolia Bar Association, Wicks is also a member of the American Bar Association, National Bar Association, the Capital Area Bar Association, Jackson Young Lawyers and the Mississippi Bar Association. She has held leadership positions in each of the groups.

The Magnolia Bar Association is an affiliate of the National Bar Association. The Association’s objective is to advance the science of jurisprudence, facilitate the administration of justice, to promote reform in the law, and to uphold the honor and integrity of the legal profession. They do this by completing various service projects throughout the year and providing continuing legal education credit opportunities. The Association is also actively involved in mentoring students and pro bono cases.
