Overview

Jacob is a member of Butler Snow’s Business Services group. His fifteen years of experience includes litigation, contract law, and federal agency knowledge, such as Department of Defense, Department of Justice, Environmental Protection Agency, and NASA.

About

Prior to joining the firm, Jacob served in the United States Army. A former U.S. Army prosecutor and administrative law attorney, Jacob’s experience includes litigation, ethics, and compliance, as well as procurement and acquisitions. As an engineer he was appointed Senior Program Manager for all U.S. Army Environmental issues in the State of Alaska. Alongside a team of over 30 engineers and technicians, Jacob completed sensitive projects in the Arctic and around Alaska, ultimately earning the Individual Award for Excellence for his work.

In his practice, Jacob uses his experience to focus on all aspects of government solutions, including key areas such as ethics and environmental compliance, as well as procurement and acquisitions. During his years as an attorney in the U.S. Army, he analyzed contract proposals to ensure legal sufficiency and policy compliance from foreign governments, private corporations, and international organizations. He also worked as an ethics program manager, redesigning the program to align with compliance regulations for multigenerational Army leaders and evolving technology.

Jacob earned his J.D. from William & Mary Law School in Virginia. He also holds a master’s degree in Construction & Program Management from the University of Alabama and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Alabama A&M University.
