Xan Ingram Flowers Selected as Birmingham Business Journal 2024 NextGen Law Honoree

Butler Snow attorney Xan Ingram Flowers has been selected by the Birmingham Business Journal as a 2024 NextGen Law honoree. NextGen Law honorees are young and successful attorneys who will guide Birmingham’s legal landscape for years to come. Xan is one of 15 attorneys selected for the 2024 list.

As a member of Butler Snow’s Products, Catastrophic and Industrial Litigation and Appellate practice groups, Xan focuses her practice on defending product manufacturers in complex litigation and mass tort cases, as well as OSHA-related matters. She also has experience arguing in front of the Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, advocating for her clients in both state and federal appellate courts and immigration court, and experience acting as amicus counsel as well as special appellate counsel. In addition to her product liability and appellate practices, Flowers also has experience advocating for her clients in a wide range of commercial, insurance, and personal injury litigation.

Xan was recognized as a Super Lawyers® Mid-South Rising Star for Civil Litigation: Defense in 2022 and 2023. In 2022, the Birmingham Bar Association honored her as a member of the Future Leaders Forum. She also graduated from the International Association of Defense Counsel’s (IADC) Trial Academy in 2023. Xan is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama Bar Association and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and currently serves as the Product Liability Young Lawyers Specialized Litigation Group Chair.

Xan completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin and earned her Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Alabama state and federal courts and Immigration Courts.
