Butler Snow was recently mentioned in an article from Law360 about the opening of its office in Huntsville, Alabama.
The following is an excerpt from the article:
Butler Snow LLP has opened its third office in Alabama with the help of 23 former Maynard Cooper & Gale PC attorneys who opted out of joining a new national law firm stemming from a recent merger.
Twenty-two of the new hires will work out of Butler Snow’s new Huntsville office, while correctional litigation attorney Anne Adams Hill will join the previously established Montgomery office, the Mississippi-founded firm said Wednesday.
Nine of the new employees are partners: David Block in the labor and employment practice; Jon Holland, Matthew Moore and Matt Parker in the business services practice; Bill Lunsford and Matt Reeves in commercial litigation; and Leslie Sharpe, Allie Tucker and Daniel Wilson in the finance, real estate and restructuring practice.
Butler Snow Chair Chris Maddux called the mass exodus to the firm a true testament to its culture of teamwork and its client-first approach.
“They share our commitment to client service and will be true assets to the firm,” Maddux said in a statement. “We have also long viewed Huntsville as a key market with great potential. Huntsville is an ideal location, positioned near our Birmingham and Nashville offices. These additions will greatly benefit clients and help facilitate the firm’s future growth strategies.”
There are also three new senior counsel, four counsel, six associates, one contract attorney and nine staff members — including paralegals, managers, legal assistants and marketing employees, the firm said.
“Our entire team is excited to join Butler Snow, and is looking forward to combining our expertise and resources to enhance the services we can offer our clients,” Lunsford said in a joint statement. “This is a great cultural fit and one that matches up well with our practices and clients.”
Butler Snow, which also has an office in Birmingham, now has a total of 404 attorneys.
“We couldn’t be happier to join such an innovative and unique firm,” Sharpe said.
