Butler Snow Attorney Melody McAnally Appointed to Orion Financial Supervisory Committee

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Melody McAnally has been appointed to the Supervisory Committee of Orion Financial in Memphis, Tennessee.

The Supervisory Committee serves as an independent body responsible for overseeing Orion Financial’s audit functions, internal controls, and financial reporting processes, ensuring transparency, accountability, and the continued integrity of the organization’s operations.

Melody McAnally

McAnally serves as Team Leader of Butler Snow’s Data Security and Privacy Team, focusing on a range of privacy and data security matters, as well as commercial litigation. She has extensive experience advising clients on data security and privacy issues, including data breach investigations and notifications, data breach litigation, privacy compliance programs, privacy litigation, and cyber insurance policies and coverage issues.

In addition to her privacy and cybersecurity work, McAnally represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters across state and federal courts, including disputes involving financial services.

McAnally is actively involved in national and regional legal organizations and currently serves in leadership roles within the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section, including as Past Chair of the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Committee. She is also a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, Tennessee Bar Foundation, and Memphis Bar Foundation, and has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Commercial Litigation.

McAnally is AV®-Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and was recently recognized by BL Rankings, Best Lawyers in America® in Commercial Litigation for the 5th consecutive year (2020-2025). McAnally earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review.
