Butler Snow attorney Lisa B. Bisso will be speaking on a panel at the Charleston School of Law on September 23, 2025. The panel, “Finding Your Fit: Insights from Different Areas of Law,” will feature eight attorneys from the Charleston area. Each attorney will offer current law students insights, advice and highlight unique challenges specific to their practice area.
Lisa B. Bisso
As a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation group, Bisso has extensive experience in a wide range of civil litigation, encompassing commercial litigation, construction disputes, and premises and products liability. She also has a strong background in transactional work, where she served on the lead contracts team for an international corporation. She has successfully represented clients in high-stakes cases, including navigating the complexities of multi-district litigation, where she managed legal proceedings across multiple jurisdictions. She has also advised and represented businesses in a vast array of industries, tackling issues such as contract disputes, fiduciary duties, and partnership tax law.
Bisso was recently recognized by BL Rankings, The Best Lawyers in America®, as a member of its 2026 ‘Ones to Watch’ list for her work in commercial litigation. She has been recognized as a Star of the Quarter by the South Carolina Bar in 2022 and 2025. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Charleston County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute (DRI), South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association, South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and is Chair of the Special Projects Committee of the South Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
Bisso earned her bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
