Butler Snow LLP is pleased to announce that attorney Jerry G. Peterson has been elected as a Regular Fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel. Membership in the College is limited and based on the lawyer’s accomplishments and legal expertise in the field.

The American College of Bond Counsel was formed in 1995 for the purpose of recognizing lawyers who have established reputations among their peers for their skill, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of bond law.
Peterson is a member of the firm’s Public Finance, Tax Incentives & Credit Markets group and focuses his practice on bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel. He has participated in bond transactions in 25 states, including the District of Columbia. His past representation includes hospitals and other healthcare facilities, senior housing communities, higher education facilities, multifamily housing projects and economic development projects. He has served as bond counsel or underwriter’s counsel on matters totaling over $2 billion.
Peterson is AV®-Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® and has been recognized by BL Rankings, The Best Lawyers in America® in Public Finance Law since 2019, including being named Lawyer of the Year, Public Finance (Atlanta) in 2022 and 2024. Peterson earned his bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College and his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School.
