Butler Snow attorney Christopher D. Morris recently moderated a panel at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), held July 4-9, 2026, in Prague, Czech Republic. His panel, “There’s No Place Like Home: Recent Trends in Personal Jurisdiction,” took place on Sunday, July 5.
The panel explored how personal jurisdiction law has evolved over the last decade and how those developments continue to shape litigation strategy and risk for defendants. The discussion examined the Supreme Court’s shifting jurisprudence in this area, including the impact of decisions such as Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. v. Superior Court and Mallory v. Norfolk Southern Railway Co., as well as how lower federal and state courts have responded.
