Butler Snow LLP is pleased to welcome attorney Jonathan R. Werne to the firm’s Ridgeland, Mississippi, office. Werne joins as a member of Butler Snow’s Health Law practice group.

Jonathan R. Werne
Werne is a member of the firm’s Health Law group and has over 20 years of experience advising hospitals on regulatory compliance, risk management and strategic transactions. He is a proven leader in the alignment of legal strategy with the organizational goals of healthcare organizations. Prior to joining the firm, Werne served as Vice President of Regional General Counsel for Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, Inc., in the healthcare system’s Jackson, Mississippi, office. He also served as General Counsel for St. Dominic Health Services, Inc., and worked in a private practice in Jackson, Mississippi. He is a member of the American Health Law Association and the Mississippi Bar Association’s Health Law Section.
Werne is admitted to the State Bar of Mississippi, the United States District Courts of Mississippi and the United States Fifth Court of Appeals. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi, summa cum laude, and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
