Beau Cole Accepts 2023 Law-Related Public Education Award from the Mississippi Bar Foundation

Butler Snow attorney Edderek L. (Beau) Cole accepted the Mississippi Bar Foundation’s 2023 Law-Related Public Education Award. This annual award is given to individuals and entities who have demonstrated a commitment to enhancing the community’s understanding of the principles of law and the legal system. Cole served as Chair of the 2021-2022 Public Information Committee of the Mississippi Bar Association and accepted the award on behalf of its tireless, dedicated members. Cole also currently serves as a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. He was honored and presented this award at the Bar Foundation’s Fellows meeting earlier this week.

The firm congratulates Cole and the 2021-2022 Public Information Committee of the Mississippi Bar Association on this exciting recognition and his work with the Mississippi Bar Foundation.

Beau Cole is a member of Butler Snow’s Products, Catastrophic and Industrial Litigation Group and Tort, Transportation and Specialized Litigation Groups. He is an experienced trial attorney with recognized success defending everything from small but emotionally charged matters to high-stakes “bet the company” litigation in some of the country’s most volatile venues. Additionally, he has represented major consumer product manufacturers, small businesses and Fortune 100 companies in various litigated matters. 

Cole is an active member of various professional organizations, including previously serving on the Advisory Board of the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project and serving as the Chair of the Public Information Committee (2021-2022). In addition, he was previously a member of the Mississippi Center for Legal Services Board of Directors and served as Chair of the Mississippi Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission’s Delivery Committee.

Cole has received several distinctions, including being recognized by Super Lawyers®, Best Lawyers in America®, Martindale-Hubbell®, and the Mississippi Bar Association honored him with its Distinguished Service Award (2020). The Mississippi Business Journal selected him as a Top 10 Finalist for Mississippi’s Leading Attorneys (2016) and as one of its Leaders in Law (2015) and Top 50 Under 40 (2015).

Beau Cole received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and obtained his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law.
