  • Analysis of federal and state regulatory issues surrounding ambulatory surgical centers, joint-ventures, the Medicare and Medicaid Fraud and Abuse laws, the Anti-Kickback statute, and the Stark Law.
  • Analysis of healthcare plan documents and application of relevant federal and state law in all 50 states relating to healthcare reimbursement laws. 
  • Practice in effectuating compliance with internal operational policies and regulations for a prominent healthcare provider.
  • Experience in representing buyers and sellers in healthcare transactions and joint ventures.
  • Experienced in all aspects of ERISA including plan design and implementation, plan administration and compliance of qualified employee benefit plans, qualified pension and profit-sharing plans, 403(b) plans, 457(b) plans.  Assists clients with regulatory requirements for qualified retirement plans and health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Experienced in group health and other welfare plan issues including COBRA, HIPAA and the Affordable Care Act.
  • Experienced in matters involving the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor including audits, negotiations, determination letter filings, private letter rulings, prohibited transactions, correction programs, and annual reporting compliance.
  • Experienced in preparing and negotiating employment and severance agreements for employers.
