A former federal law clerk, Jay is licensed to practice in all South Carolina state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

- Represent and defend businesses in complex commercial real estate disputes.
- Defending and prosecuting a wide range of commercial lawsuits, including contract disputes, fraud claims, tortious interference claims, and fiduciary duty claims.
- Represent and defend insurance companies in complex extracontractual litigation, including alleged bad faith, fraud, and market misconduct and sales practices claims.
- Represent and defend insurance companies in coverage litigation.
