Butler Snow attorney Michael C. McCabe, Jr. has been named Chair of The Mississippi Bar’s Ethics Committee for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. The committee issues advisory ethics opinions as authorized by 73-3-143 (2) Miss. Code 1972 and in accordance with the provisions of Article 9-12 of The Mississippi Bar Bylaws. McCabe is a long-time member of the Bar and has served on a number of committees and in various leadership positions.
McCabe also serves on the board of the Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions, a position appointed by the Mississippi Supreme Court, as well as the National Conference of Bar Examiners’s (NCBE) Multistate Essay Examination (MEE)/Multistate Performance Test (MPT) Committee.
McCabe focuses his practice on business litigation, including business torts, real estate disputes and employment matters. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® and Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Super Lawyer and a Mid-South Rising Star. Michael is also AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell®.
McCabe is a member of the American Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, the Harrison County Bar Association and the Harrison County Young Lawyers. He received his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Mississippi State University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi.
