D. Todd Smith to Speak about Lawyer Perfectionism at Austin Bar Panel

Butler Snow attorney D. Todd Smith will serve as a panelist at an upcoming Lawyer Well-Being Virtual Panel Discussion held by the Austin Bar Association on Friday, Feb. 26 from noon to 1 p.m. The discussion, titled “Oops, I Made a Mistake: Dismantling the Myth of Lawyer Perfectionism,” will bring together local attorneys to discuss mistakes they’ve made, how they recovered and what tools they use to battle perfectionism. A member of Butler Snow’s Appellate group, Smith represents clients as lead appellate counsel and works with trial teams in all phases of civil litigation. He is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been recognized by Super Lawyers® since 2013.

Smith is the Austin Bar’s immediate past president. During his term, he spearheaded creation of the Lawyer Well-Being Committee, which aims to educate, support and connect the Austin legal community to achieve more balanced, mindful and joyful lives and practices. He currently chairs the Austin Bar Foundation and serves on the State Bar’s Board of Directors.
