  • Clinton has a wide breadth of experience in Government Relations working with state and local governments in Tennessee. As Government Affairs Director for the Greater Nashville REALTORS®, Clinton consulted with the CEO and Board of Directors to establish positions and strategy for Metro Nashville legislation, which included: short term rental property regulations, tax incentives for relocating and expanding businesses, and potential property tax increases.
  • As a member of Governor Bill Haslam’s legislative team, Clinton advocated for the Governor’s agenda with members of the Tennessee General Assembly and served as the lead liaison for the House Insurance & Banking, Government Operations, and Senate Energy Committees.
  • Working for the TN Department of Finance and Administration, Clinton assisted with the state budget process while also lobbying for administration bills and the approval of contracts on behalf of Benefits Administration and Strategic Technology Solutions.
  • As Assistant General Counsel and Legislative Liaison for the TN Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Clinton lobbied the Tennessee General Assembly for bills, rules, and contracts. He also represented the department in court for involuntary commitment proceedings.
