Butler Snow attorney Jin Yoshikawa has been selected to participate in the 13th annual Emerging Leaders Program of the U.S.-Japan Council. The U.S.-Japan Council is a non-profit organization incorporated in the United States and Japan, whose purpose is to strengthen the U.S.-Japan bilateral relationship. The year-long emerging leaders program identifies, cultivates, and empowers Japanese American leaders aged 24 to 35 through leadership education, designing and implementing original USJC programming, and establishing powerful professional connections and lifelong personal friendships.

As part of his participation, Yoshikawa will attend the USJC’s Annual Conference in Tokyo in October. Past speakers include political, economic, and cultural leaders such as President Joe Biden, former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and Takeshi Uchiyamada, chairman of the board of directors of Toyota Motor Corporation. This year’s speakers include Jun Sawada, chairman of NTT Corporation; Hironori Kamezawa, president of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group; Sylvester Turner, mayor of Houston, Texas; Carissa Moore, 2020 gold medalist in surfing; Governor David Ige of Hawaii; Katrina Lake, founder of Stitch Fix; among others.
