Butler Snow Welcomes Health Law Attorney Dana N. Good

Butler Snow LLP is pleased to welcome Dana N. Good to the firm’s Memphis, Tennessee, office. A member of the firm’s Health Law practice group, Good advises academic medical centers, hospitals and health systems on health care operations, domestic and international biomedical research, institutional review board and human subjects protections, data registries, biorepositories and research networks and consortiums.

“Dana’s experience as in-house counsel for healthcare systems and hospitals makes her uniquely qualified to address the issues our Health Law clients face,” said Christopher R. Maddux, chair of Butler Snow. “She will be an absolute asset to our clients and our Health Law practice.”

Good’s career has focused on navigating the full spectrum of legal issues facing hospitals and sponsor-investigators engaged in clinical research and other types of biomedical research collaborations. She has advised on regulatory, compliance and contracting aspects of domestic and international clinical trials, federal and private grants, data governance, hosting and sharing, foreign data protection regulations, human subjects protections, conflicts of interest, intellectual property and more.

Good is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and was appointed to its Women’s Leadership Council. She’s also a member of the American Bar Association Health Law Section, the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and the Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R) group. Good earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver. Good is licensed to practice in Kansas and Missouri and her license is pending admission in Tennessee.
