Butler Snow attorney Valerie Diden Moore has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). The credential is recognized as the global gold standard for privacy professions and demonstrates a strong foundation in U.S. privacy laws and regulations, as well as an understanding of the legal requirements for the responsible transfer of sensitive personal data to and from the U.S., the EU and other jurisdictions. Moore practices with the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group and focuses her practice on data privacy, business and commercial litigation, government investigations and securities litigation. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association and Marion Griffin Chapter of the Lawyers’ Association for Women, as well as a Fellow of the Nashville Bar Foundation.
Moore obtained her J.D., summa cum laude, from Vermont Law School and is admitted to the State Bars of Tennessee and New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and Middle District of Tennessee, and the 6th District of the U.S. Court of Appeals. She served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Joe B. Brown, United States Magistrate Judge, of the Middle District of Tennessee from 2009 to 2013.
