Kristin Konschnik has been appointed as Treasurer of the Taxes Committee of the International Bar Association.
The IBA Taxes Committee offers its members access to the highest quality technical, practical and professional tax expertise to help understand and find solutions to international tax issues. It encourages worldwide networks among international tax specialists and tax lawyers to help them better serve the needs of their clients. During the past year, the Taxes Committee has continued its active role in the IBA, presenting a range of online technical programs, as well as publishing a regular newsletter to update its members on critical global tax law changes.
Kristin practices in the firm’s London office as a member of the business services and tax groups. She focuses her practice on cross-border tax and transactional matters for individuals and corporations. Kristin has extensive experience advising individuals and their companies on US and international transactional tax matters, including cross-border sales and acquisitions, hedge and private equity funds and tax-efficient US inbound and outbound business structures and investments. She frequently works with founders, investors and management teams on a range of US tax issues, including compensation and investment matters in private equity transactions.
Kristin is a member of the International, American, New York and Connecticut Bar Associations and has been named to Citywealth and Powerwomen’s leaders lists and has been recognized by Chambers Global as a foreign expert. Kristin received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law.
