IADC Announces Christopher Berdy as New Board Member for 2020-21

The International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) has elected Christopher S. Berdy, an attorney at Butler Snow LLP in Birmingham, Alabama, as a new member of the IADC Board of Directors for 2020-21. The election was announced at the IADC’s 2020 Annual Meeting. The IADC is the preeminent invitation-only global legal organization for attorneys who represent corporate and insurance interests.

An active IADC member for 15 years, Mr. Berdy is the organization’s Alabama State Membership chair. He was a faculty member for the IADC’s 46th Annual Trial Academy and previously served as chair of the IADC’s Continuing Legal Education, In-house and Law Firm Management, ADR, and Annual Meeting (2014) CLE Steering committees.

A partner in Butler Snow’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, and Healthcare practice group, Mr. Berdy represents consumer and industrial product manufacturers, with an emphasis on medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers, in catastrophic personal injury and mass tort litigation, as well as businesses in commercial disputes.

In addition to achieving Martindale-Hubbell’s “AV” rating, Mr. Berdy has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America and the Alabama and Mid-South Super Lawyers. Mr. Berdy received his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Washington and Lee University.
