David G. Mayhan Recognized as 2020 Top Litigator by Law Week Colorado

Butler Snow attorney David G. Mayhan has been named one of Law Week Colorado’s Top Litigators for 2020. The honor recognizes Colorado litigators making a difference both inside and outside the courtroom.

Law Week Colorado’s feature on David highlights his pro bono work, specifically his work on an asylum case in U.S. Immigration court in New Orleans for a Honduran mother and her minor son seeking asylum in the United States. The Butler Snow team assisting on the case included co-counsel Xan Ingram Flowers, as well as summer associates Brooke Messina and Gabe Tucker, Butler Snow’s Pro Bono Counsel Patricia Gandy, attorney La’Toyia J. Slay and legal assistants Gloria Anzar and Brittany Williams. Giana Borroto, Esq. of the National Immigrant Justice Center also provided guidance that helped secure a victory.

Mayhan has been practicing law since 1985 and is a member of Butler Snow’s tort, transportation and specialized litigation department. He focuses his practice on construction law, personal injury and product liability, insurance defense and coverage law and commercial litigation. During his career, he has achieved defense verdicts in construction and commercial law trials and arbitrations, prosecuted counterclaims related to construction defects and obtained summary judgment for third-party defendants in large complex defect claims.
