Mier is a member of the firm’s litigation department and practices within the labor and employment group. He focuses his practice primarily in the areas of labor and employment law, health care, corrections litigation, Indian law, education law, commercial litigation and creditors’ rights. Mier also has experience in legal consulting in the public sector, primarily in labor relations, defense of grievance, EEOC charges, human rights division charges, Department of Labor charges, Department of Justice charges, employment issues, conflict resolution and contract negotiations.
Mier served in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a highly decorated Lieutenant. He is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico. Mier received his bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico Law School.
