Erin Palmer Polly Elected to Board of Directors of Alma Mater and Bar Foundation

Butler Snow attorney Erin Palmer Polly has been elected to serve on the board of directors for both Maryville College and the Nashville Bar Foundation. Polly earned her bachelor’s degree from Maryville College and has served in several roles for the Nashville Bar Association, including President in 2018.

Maryville College is a private liberal arts college located outside of Knoxville, Tenn. The Nashville Bar Foundation aims to have an impact on initiatives and projects in the Nashville legal community.

Polly is a member of Butler Snow’s commercial litigation practice group and focuses her practice on commercial litigation, civil rights, professional liability and general litigation. She frequently represents companies and individuals in matters involving civil rights, professional liability claims, personal injury lawsuits and breaches of contract. Polly has been recognized by Best Lawyers® for commercial litigation and personal injury litigation – defendants, by Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Rising Star in civil litigation – defense and as a Mid-South Super Lawyer in civil litigation – defense and by Martindale-Hubbell® with an AV-Preeminent Peer Review rating. She was also named a Top 40 Under 40 and a Best of the Bar by the Nashville Business Journal and received the pro bono leadership award in 2014 from Legal Aid Society’s Volunteer Lawyers Program for her work with the organization.

Polly is a fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation and the Nashville Bar Foundation, and an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court and the Marion Griffin Chapter of the Lawyers’ Association for Women. She received her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Maryville College and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee.
