Butler Snow attorney Diana M. Comes has been selected for the Tennessee Bar Association’s (TBA) 2020 Leadership Law program. Now in its 17th year, the Leadership Law program is designed to equip Tennessee lawyers with the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to serve as leaders in their profession and local communities.
This year’s class of 33 attorneys – chosen from across the state – will spend the next six months learning about leadership in the legal profession, issues in the courts, policymaking in state government and the importance of community service.
The TBA is the largest professional association in Tennessee with more than 13,000 members. Founded in 1881, the TBA provides opportunities for continuing legal education, professional development and public service.
Diana focuses her practice on financial services litigation and intellectual property matters, having handled appeals before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits, the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Tennessee Court of Appeals. Diana has been recognized by Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Rising Star in business litigation, by Best Lawyers in America® for commercial litigation and as an outstanding associate by the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court in 2017.
Diana is a member of the American, Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations, the Association for Women Attorneys and the Defense Research Institute. She received her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Rhodes College and her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the University of Memphis.
