Butler Snow attorney Beau C. Creson has been elected to the 2020 Executive Board of the Young Lawyers Division of the Nashville Bar Association. He will serve as Events Director, overseeing many of the organization’s largest fundraising and social events of the year, including the Carbolic Smoke Ball, Race Judicata and Arts Immersion. Creson has been a member of the Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors since 2014 and served as Co-Chair of this year’s Carbolic Smoke Ball, helping raise more than $40,000 for Nashville nonprofits.
The purpose of the Young Lawyers Division is to promote a better understanding of the law and the legal profession to the general public, to sponsor community, educational, and professional programs for the general public and the legal profession, and to encourage fellowship among the young lawyers of Davidson County, Tennessee.
Creson is a member of Butler Snow’s commercial litigation practice group, focusing his practice on complex business litigation. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants across a wide variety of subject matters, including contractual disputes, fiduciary duty issues and unfair competitions claims. He also has experience with trademark and copyright litigation.
Creson has been recognized as a Mid-South Rising Star by Super Lawyers® and has also been named a Young Lawyer’s Division Enterprise Award recipient by the Nashville Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee, the U.S. District Court of Tennessee: middle, eastern and western, and the 6th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals. Creson earned his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University, magna cum laude, and his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School.
