Butler Snow is pleased to announce Machelle Dunavant Shields will moderate a panel at BioFlorida’s 21st Annual Conference.
The conference – held Oct. 14-16 at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort – will deliver two days of programming from leading companies and research institutions throughout the state. Speakers will highlight Florida’s areas of strength including immune-oncology, precision medicine, medical technology, digital health, regenerative technology and space research.
Machelle’s panel, “Value-Based Pricing and Reimbursement Realities in 2018,” will be on Oct. 15. Other panel guests include Christine Jackson (Medtronic), Michael Sardano (Sensus Healthcare), Dan Sullivan (Amgen) and Saumil J. Pandya (PhRMA).
Machelle is a senior executive health care policy and compliance advisor in the firm’s Memphis office. With more than 20 years of experience, she focuses her practice on compliance and regulatory services for life science companies, including device/technology reimbursement strategy (coding coverage and payment), the infrastructure needs of start-up device companies and all aspects of compliance program design, operation and implementation across the health care spectrum – physicians, hospitals, Medicare Advantage, device, pharmaceutical companies and other health care providers. She also has the unique experience of having served as a federal monitor team lead for a device company’s deferred prosecution agreement, and as an executive vice president/CCO for one of the world’s top 10 medical device companies.
