Timothy S. Perry and Jim Letten Published in China

Butler Snow is pleased to announce that Timothy S. Perry and Jim Letten have been published in China.

Tim and Jim’s work is one of three chapters in the book “Essentials of the Laws of the Belt and Road Countries—Australia, U.K., U.S.” Their topic covers U.S. trade laws and regulations.

Tim is the team leader for the International Transactions Group of Butler Snow. His practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions in the United States and emerging markets. Tim’s work has been published in the ExecSense eBook titled “Scaling Up To International Business Scope.”

Jim is widely published in legal journals and books. Most recently, he was published in China and internationally, in “International Law Perspective of the Belt and Road Initiative” with his chapter titled “The U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the Importance of International Anti-Corruption Efforts in Trade Globalization.” This publication followed his FCPA address at an international forum on trade in Hong Kong.

Jim’s practice areas include investigations and white-collar/corporate criminal defense, FCPA compliance and defense and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Jim was appointed United States Attorney by President George W. Bush in 2005 following a career at USDOJ, and continued in President Barack Obama’s administration. He had been the longest-serving U.S. Attorney with nearly 12 years of continuous service and one of only three U.S. Attorneys in the country appointed to the position by successive presidents from different parties.
