Butler Snow attorney Brenner McDonald recently represented singer/songwriter Caroline Watkins in negotiations and in Caroline’s successfully signing a worldwide publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Music, a global music publishing company.
Watkins, the Nashville native, has made a name for herself over the past few years performing regularly at some of the city’s landmark establishments, including the iconic Bluebird Café. Watkins will begin her studies at Belmont University in the fall as a music business major.
McDonald made the introductions between the music publisher and Caroline and is assisting in the development of Caroline’s career as an Artist. Brenner practices in the firm’s business services groups with a focus on business and entertainment transactional law, litigation and entertainment consulting. McDonald has worked with several Nashville-based entertainment management agencies. She has represented some of country music’s biggest artists and songwriters in recording agreements, licensing, touring, television, film, video, internet, music publishing and book publishing deals.
