We hire candidates with an outstanding legal foundation and then build on that foundation. We seek to develop our new associates’ professional and personal skills, to help them grow as attorneys. Our Associates Committee, along with the associate’s mentor and practice group leader, is charged with overseeing this progression. This includes legal, technical and networking training, plus regular reviews and feedback. We introduce new hires quickly to the nuts and bolts of legal practice, providing guidance along the way. We immerse them in Butler Snow’s philosophy of teamwork. We also give them real-life experience in legal venues. The results are new attorneys who contribute as counselors and as colleagues, who maintain our commitment to a higher standard.
