  • Represents casinos and gaming entities in Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights actions; obtained >$5MM in judgments.
  • Successfully litigated avoidance/preference claims and other adversary proceedings in Bankruptcy actions for clients in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and Delaware.
  • In re: CDP Corporation, Inc., 09-50745-NPO, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Mississippi; Served as counsel for the Ch.7 Trustee in large asset case; litigated avoidance and preference claims and other adversary proceedings to recoup property of the estate for the benefit of the Debtor and its Creditors; held 2-day, real time, global liquidation auction of >$1MM in construction equipment and personal property; handled all aspects of largely claims-driven bankruptcy case (approx. 75 filed claims).
  • In re: Coastal Land Development, Inc., 09-51267-ERG, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Mississippi; Served as counsel for the largest secured creditor, a Colorado venture capital group, in the Ch. 11 bankruptcy action and companion State Court cases; successfully set aside foreclosure action; negotiated settlement and recouped 100% of >$6MM in debt for client.
  • In re: Premier Entertainment Biloxi, LLC, d/b/a Biloxi Hard Rock Casino and Resort, 06-50975-ER, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Mississippi; Served as local counsel for Ch. 11 debtor’s controlling shareholder of Debtor; Debtor obtained turnover of >$180MM in insurance proceeds from bondholders to rebuild casino destroyed by Hurricane Katrina; Debtor confirmed Ch. 11 plan paying all creditors 100% of claims principal and interest on same; confirmation upheld by the 5th Cir. ruling that plan was substantially consummated.
  • In re: Studio Inn Mississippi, LLC, 04-54314-ERG, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Mississippi; Served as counsel for national bank in Ch.11 bankruptcy action and companion State Court case; successfully recouped 100% of >$3.2MM debt as well as all fees and costs incurred in litigation.
