Butler Snow Participates in Dedication of 200 Renaissance
Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC, recently participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of 200 Renaissance, the firm’s new Ridgeland office.
City of Ridgeland officials, business leaders and building tenants gathered Wednesday, December 2 in the ground floor lobby of the building, which is located in the Renaissance at Colony Park mixed-use development.
Butler Snow Chairman Don Clark spoke at the ribbon cutting ceremonly.
“Butler Snow is excited to be part of the growing Ridgeland business community,” Clark said. “We feel that we are in the location that will best serve our clients, the firm and current and future employees.”
200 Renaissance is the largest Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certified high-rise office building in the State of Mississippi. The building earned a gold certification, the second highest level accredited. Green technology includes recycled and natural materials, organic compound paints and stains, low-water-use hardware, and lower energy fluorescent lights and energy-conserving lighting systems.
Butler Snow first incorporated green technology during the renovation of its Memphis office in 2007. After the Memphis refurbishment, Butler Snow became the first registered LEED-certified law firm in the southeastern United States.
Ridgeland Mayor Gene McGee told developers, “You all ought to be complemented for building one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve seen in my lifetime. This absolutely is the finest facility you could have.”
Butler Snow officially opened its doors to clients on November 9. The firm occupies four floors and houses approximately 230 employees in the new building.
Butler Snow also participated in an open house on Thursday, December 3, hosted by H.C. “Buster” Bailey, whose real estate and business services firm, together with Barksdale Management Corporation, developed the Renaissance.
