John C. Henegan of Butler Snow Named Member of Exclusive American Academy of Appellate Lawyers

John C. Henegan, attorney at Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC has been asked to join the elite membership of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.

Membership to the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers is by invitation only, and the academy’s current membership includes just 288 fellows nationwide.

Henegan is a member of Butler Snow’s Commercial Litigation Group and focuses on Antitrust and Intellectual Property, Complex Commercial Litigation, and Media Defense and Telecommunications Law. AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, Henegan is also a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation, recognized by The Best Lawyers® in America in Appellate Law, Commercial Litigation and First Amendment Law; by Chambers USA, America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in General Commercial Litigation and Appellate Law; and by Mid-South Super Lawyers® in Business Litigation.

Previously, Henegan served as Chief of Staff for former Governor of Mississippi, William F. Winter, and as a law clerk to Honorable Charles Clark, United States Circuit Judge of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Henegan currently serves as Vice Chair on the Advisory Board of the William Winter Institute of Racial Reconciliation at The University of Mississippi.

Henegan received his B.A. in English and Philosophy, as well as his J.D., with honors, from The University of Mississippi.

Bob Frey A Featured Author in The Mississippi Lawyer

Butler Snow Attorney Robert M. Butler Snow Attorney LeAnn W. Nealey recently authored an article for the MDLA Quarterly, a publication of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA), titled "Preserving Summary Judgment Based on the Exclusion of Expert Testimony."  Nealey is a member of the firm's Appellate and Written Advocacy Group where she focuses her practice on appellate advocacy, product liability and environmental law.
