Butler Snow Attorney Frank Holbrook Certified as Civil Trial Specialist by National Board of Trial Advocacy

Memphis – Frank M. Holbrook, an attorney with Butler Snow, has been certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA).  Holbrook practices as a member of the Commercial Litigation Group in the firm’s Memphis office.

In addition to his certification as a Civil Trial Specialist, Holbrook is a member of the Litigation Counsel of America, an honor society for attorneys recognized for effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work and for ethical reputation.  He also was named a Mid-South Super Lawyer in the area of business litigation.

The NBTA is accredited by the American Bar Association to offer the Civil Trial Specialist certificate.  To achieve certification, an attorney must be reviewed by judges and fellow attorneys familiar with their work, demonstrate substantial experience serving as lead counsel in contested matters, and successfully complete a written examination in the areas of trial techniques, evidence, and ethics. 
 
Holbrook is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review.




Christy Jones Featured Speaker at ACI's Drug and Device Expert Witness Summit

Butler Snow Attorney Christy D. Jones will present "Effective Strategies for Prepping and Utilizing Witnesses to disprove the Plaintiff's Case" at the American Coference Institute's Drug and Device Expert Witness Summit on July 16, 2008, in Philadelphia, Penn.  The summit will bring together veteran drug and device litigators and jurists who will share proven insights on a number of topics relative to the industry.  Additional details on the event can be found at www.americanconference.com


Butler Snow Attorneys Featured in Upcoming Trucking Litigation Seminar

Butler Snow Attorneys Willie T. Abston and Arthur D. Spratlin, Jr. are featured speakers in the upcoming Lorman seminar Trucking Litigation and D.O.T. Regulations in Mississippi.  Abston will present "Overview of Trucking Litigation: Plaintiff and Defense Perspective," and Spratlin will share insights in "What's in the Black Box?
