Butler Snow Among Nation's Top Law Firms for Client Service

Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC has been recognized as one of the nation’s top law firms for client service in the 2007 edition of “The Survey of Client Service Performance Law Firms: The BTI Client Service A-Team.” At a time when BTI Consulting Group’s research shows that Fortune 1000™ companies are largely dissatisfied with their law firms, Butler Snow is hailed as a leader in client satisfaction. It was the only law firm in Mississippi or Memphis, Tenn. included on the A-Team. The study also recognized Butler Snow in six additional categories.

“Butler Snow demonstrated a breadth of strengths in this survey,” said BTI President Michael Rynowecer. “They clearly are on the radar screen of a lot of major companies throughout the U.S. They deliver perceived value to their clients at a time when overall client satisfaction is very low and only 32 percent of executives we surveyed say they would recommend a law firm that worked for them.”

Recognition was achieved based on the results of more than 250 interviews with the General Counsels at Fortune 1000™ and other large companies. BTI Consulting Group of Wellesley, Mass., conducted the interviews, and topics included client satisfaction and overall law firm performance. I

In addition to “Best at Client Service,” BTI included Butler Snow in the following honor rolls:

  • Best at Client Focus – One of 100 to make the list and the only Mississippi or Memphis firm named.

  • Best at Commitment to Help – One of 80 named nationally, and the only Mississippi or Memphis firm named.

  • Best at Providing Value for the Dollar – One of 85 firms recognized, and the only Mississippi or Memphis firm named.

  • Best at Regional Reputation – One of 103 national firms.

  • Best at Bringing Together National Resources – One of just 55 firms.

  • Best at Anticipating the Client’s Needs – One of only 68 firms named.

“It’s great to be recognized as a leader in so many areas,” said Don Clark, Firm Chair, “because we're committed to delivering a high standard of service to our clients. This only inspires us to work harder and continue to aim high.”

This is the second BTI Study in which Butler Snow was highly ranked. The 2006 BTI Client Relationship Scorecard ranked Butler Snow as one of the nation’s top 100 law firms. That survey also included Butler Snow as one of the top 33 law firms nationwide in pharmaceutical law.

The BTI Consulting Group (BTI) is the leading provider of strategic market research to law firms and professional service firms. The Boston area firm conducts the only continuous benchmarking market survey in the legal services industry based on more than 1,000 independent interviews with general counsels and key decision-makers that hire law firms.
