Bet-the-Company litigator Lee Davis Thames of Butler Snow joins peers at Best Lawyers forum in New York

JACKSON, MS (June 25, 2007) – Lee Davis Thames of Butler, Snow, O'Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC, recently attended the inaugural Best Lawyers Bet-the-Company Forum in New York. Thames, a member of the firm’s Product Liability Group, was listed in the Bet-the-Company Litigation category in the 2007 edition of The Best Lawyers in America®.

Thames was among 89 Bet-the-Company Litigators who attended the weekend of panels and presentations designed for lawyers who manage make-or-break litigation. Topics of discussion included “Managing the True Crisis Case” and “Intellectual Property: The Bet-the-Company Cases.” The U.S. Deputy Attorney General and general counsel for six major corporations also attended.

Thames concentrates his practice on drug and medical device litigation, toxic torts, product liability law, commercial litigation, complex litigation and environmental liability law. He has tried more than 150 cases here and abroad. Thames has appeared in Best Lawyers since the first edition in 1983. In addition to Bet-the-Company Litigation, the 2007 edition named him in the areas of Personal Injury Litigation, Commercial Litigation and Product Liability Litigation.

Bob Frey A Featured Author in The Mississippi Lawyer

Butler Snow Attorney Robert M. Nealey recently authored an article for the MDLA Quarterly, a publication of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA), titled "Preserving Summary Judgment Based on the Exclusion of Expert Testimony."  Nealey is a member of the firm's Appellate and Written Advocacy Group where she focuses her practice on appellate advocacy, product liability and environmental law.
