Butler Snow Wins Spotlight Award at Annual SEMDA Conference

Butler Snow was honored last night with the 2016 Spotlight Award from the Southeastern Medical Device Association (SEMDA) during the group’s annual conference in Nashville.

Butler Snow – which has robust health care, pharmaceutical, medical device and other life sciences practices – has taken an active role in SEMDA, and former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, who leads Butler Snow’s government relations practice, opened the conference, which took place May 18-19 in the Music City Center.

The Spotlight Award is presented each year to a thought leader in the health care and medical device industry that advances visionary innovation in the marketplace, as well as accomplishments, inspiration and advancements across the industry.

The annual conference brings together investors, regulators, vendors, medical device companies and thought leaders. Among those companies participating in addition to Butler Snow, were HCA, St. Jude Medical, Johnson & Johnson, Blue Cross Blue Shield, the Vanderbilt Center for Technology Transfer & Commercialization and many others.
