The flagship program of the ABA Commercial Transportation Litigation Committee is the Transportation Megaconference. For over 20 years this bi-yearly event has been one of the most popular and highest attended transportation conferences in the country.
The conference was held this year and New Orleans, Louisiana. There were approximately 400 registrants for this event. The event lasted from March 11 to March 13, 2015.
This years conference included 12 different segments on various commercial transportation topics. Butler Snow attorneys Meade W. Mitchell, who is the Chair of the ABA TIPS Commercial Transportation Committee and Arthur D. Spratlin, Jr. were asked to speak on “Driving Innovations and Investigation Technologies”. Being asked to speak is an honor. Mitchell and Spratlin’s segment of the program focused on the enormous number of innovations in technology in both cars and heavy trucks and the anticipated impact those changes will have on the face of commercial transportation litigation.
The event was attended by lawyers from around the nation as well as claims representatives and industry personnel in the transportation field. Representatives from trucking operations such as Gordon Trucking, Werner Enterprises, US Express enterprises, Cardinal Logistics, Averitt Express, Knight Transportation, and various other entities presented at this conference.
