Butler, Snow, O’Mara, Stevens & Cannada, PLLC (Butler Snow) is pleased to announce J. Troy Johnston has joined the Greater Jackson, Miss. office.
Johnston is a member of the firm’s Public Finance and Incentives Group and brings with him experience in municipal law and public finance, with an emphasis on serving as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and trustee counsel.
“We are pleased that Troy has joined the firm, and his experience will strengthen our Public Finance practice group and better serve our clients,” said Donald Clark, Jr., Chairman, Butler Snow.
Johnston is a graduate of the Mississippi College School of Law, and completed both his master’s and bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Mississippi. He is listed as a Mid-South Super Lawyers® Rising Star, and serves as general counsel to the Mississippi Municipal League.
Johnston is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, American Bar Association, Hinds County Bar Association, and Madison County Bar Association. He’s also associated with the National Association of Bond Lawyers, the Mississippi Municipal Attorneys Association, the Mississippi Council of School Board Attorneys, and the Mississippi Economic Development Council. Johnston has also served on the Lt. Governor’s Legislative Steering committee as well as the University of Southern Mississippi’s Alumni Association, where he currently serves on the Board of Directors.
